Went for an event they hosted, it’s a cabin in the woods. Literally. The bar was nice, and the food was good. A bit in the middle of nowhere but the vibe was cute.

Love the ambiance of this little cocktail bar. It felt very cozy and was a great place to enjoy a drink before dinner. The spicy mule was perfectly spicy and tasted great. We were well entertained with the little card games they had on the tables as well. Very lovely place and would recommend as a stop before or after dinner!

Under new ownership for a few months now and they are KILLING IT! Food is amazing and the service is stellar. Bar is light and fun with small bites. Dinner is amazing. Loved the sushi!! So excited that the local new owners are really stepping it up.

We had an amazing experience at this restaurant. The place was full but we were still seated quickly, and our food came out quickly as well. The fried ravioli appetizer was delicious and we loved our entrees. Bread was so good and clearly baked in-house. That was a top notch dinner with excellent service, and I would absolutely recommend it.

This restaurant is Top Notch! The food & service were Nothing less than Excellent. We ordered The Toasted Honey Ahi Tuna Steak Salad, Oysters, Drinks and it was all great. The restaurant was busy but even when our waiter was busy it never stood in the way of us getting Excellent service. Cody, Sterling & Bryce were all eager to wait on us. They seem happy to help one another. We highly recommend this establishment.

What a wonderful dining experience… Walk thru the front door and it feels like you walked thru a time warp. The ambiance is of an upscale chophouse from the 50’s or 60’s with a stunning bar.

The food is absolutely top notch, the appetizers delicious and the steaks prepared to absolute perfection. We had the Wedge Salad, Brussel Sprouts, & Dry Aged Porterhouse. The porterhouse, my wife and I shared and still took home half of the steak. If you’re too full for dessert order ‘The Kitchen Sink’ anyway – we were and, well, you can see what my wife and I couldn’t eat.

How fortunate we are to have a restaurant of this caliber in Fredericksburg. And how fortunate was I to enjoy an evening there. I had family in town from Houston, and had just heard about Jack’s, so we decided to give the new place a try. The restaurant is housed in an old house, on the west end of Main Street. The mood inside is a step back in time. Black and white photos of famous and infamous line the walls. We did not have a reservation (which I highly recommend to do so), but sitting in the cozy, plush “parlor” sipping “The Monroe”, wait time was not an issue. The food was excellent, the cocktails…spot on, (My Houstonian cousin raved that the Old Fashion was the best he’d ever had.) and the staff, superb. The real star in Jack’s is, without a doubt, James Smith. James is the Manager and Mixology extraordinaire. James is the most personable guy of the Fredericksburg restaurant scene…the perfect combination of personable and professional. I look forward to wowing more guests with Jack’s Chophouse and Jame’s charm and cocktails.

Amazing atmosphere l, would definitely recommend. However a few things to help work out some of the kinks the butter is too hard but delicious also a little less oil on the steaks maybe some butter. Even if these changes didn’t occur I would still eat there again.
